Michael Gibson has been practicing law in North Carolina since 1979. He joined Rod Dean in 1989 and together, they formed Dean & Gibson, LLP in 1991.

Mike concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance defense & coverage, bad faith, first party fire loss and property claims, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, professional malpractice and municipal defense.  He has conducted over 150 jury trials in North Carolina state and federal courts. He has also prosecuted and defended several cases at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

As an approved instructor by the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Mr. Gibson has led seminars for insurance companies on various insurance related topics. He has also taught evidence at college level and conducted lectures on several litigation topics at various North Carolina colleges.

He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and is a member of the North Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.
