Barbara Dean has practiced with Dean & Gibson since 1993. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, she was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1973, and has lived in Charlotte since then.

Prior to working with Dean & Gibson, Barbara first worked as an assistant district attorney and later practiced in commercial litigation, insurance defense, and creditor representation in bankruptcy cases.

Her current practice at Dean & Gibson is civil litigation, primarily in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage, legal malpractice defense, and motion and appellate practice.
